This book was given to me by a friend. I couldn't put it down. I literally read it cover to cover in 3.5 hrs. Excellent use of a refreshing variety of literary devices from flashbacks to foreshadowing. One of the things I enjoyed most about it was the way the book concluded with an amazing roller coaster ride over the last 3 chapters. Also, included a delightfully accurate description of the actual local area that it's set in. Very much looking forward to reading Volume 2 and what the author has in store next.

This off beat murder mystery grabbed my attention from the start. I say off beat because it doesn't follow usual Murder/mystery formats. It's certainly original which is always refreshing but more importantly, for me, it was well written with a plot that hangs together and carries the reader towards a super ending.

Once I started, I did not want to put it down. Interesting characters with a little bit of everything... Mystery, suspense, paranormal and romance. Can't wait for the next book.

It is always something of a gem to find a book that's original and well written. Dear Charlotte certainly ticked both boxes for me with an intriguing plot that came together really well. It kept me both entertained and thinking until the very end. What more could a reader want?
